Original publisher's folding brochure printed in black ink on white paper. No date, circa 1920s-1930s. 3" x 5 1/4." One leaf of paper folded into fourths and printed on all sides. Three small color illustrations included on front and one of the interior panels. Brochure is very clean and intact except for light age toning and slight bumping to corners. A Fine copy. This is a promotional brochure advertising "beautiful books" published by Adam & Charles Black (A & C Black), a noted publishing house that is still active to this day. The brochure principally contains lists of A & C Black's books with their prices. Many of the advertised books are nonfictional works about different countries. Other books advertised include those aimed toward younger readers, the "Peeps at Many Lands" travel series, "the Menpes Series of Great Masters," and "smaller series." Another selling point of A & C Black's book in this borchure are some of the books' facsimile reproductions in color. A & C Black was founded in 1807 in Edinburgh by Adam and Charles Black.
