The maps include the “Plan of two attempts to arrive at the Source of the Nile� and the “Map containing a chart to the Arabian Gulf with its Egyptian, Ethiopian, and Arabian Coasts from Suez to Bal El Mandeb�.

First edition of this biography of the Scottish traveller James Bruce, by the classical scholar and linguist Alexander Murray. James Bruce travelled in North Africa and the Near East and his goal was to reach Ethiopia and find the springs which were said to be the source of the Nile.
