One leaf folded in half and printed on all sides. Brochure is very clean and intact. A few minuscule wrinkles and a small, very faint smudge on the last page. A Fine copy. This is an announcement advertising the limited fourth edition of Merle Johnson's American First Editions, which was edited by Jacob Blanck. The first two pages of the brochure give some background on the book. Excerpts from the first two pages: "'American First Editions,' first issued in 1929 to become the daily guide of collectors, booksellers and students of literary history, has now been given most thorough and painstaking revision--a monument to American bibliography. Nearly 200 authors from Philip Freneau to John Steinbeck are included and every one of the 10,000 titles have in the revision been rechecked, hundreds of new items added, disputed claims studied, missing details supplied. ... American First Editions in the fourth edition will be a model of explicit and accurate presentation of facts by careful typography.
