first volume only. original boards, however the spine has been crudely replaced. this is the later edition that was printed in a smaller format. the book states that the illustrations that accompanied the first edition have been left out due to the size. the only exception to this is the fold-out map of the track of the centurion around the world. this is present. the edges are torn. this small volume although complete will need restoration. the map on it's own would be well worth the effort.
