Original publisher's white paper brochure; one leaf folded in half. No date, circa 1950s. 6 1/4" x 9 1/2." Printed on all four panels (two panels printed front and back), complete. Back panel advertises other shows at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium and Children's Theatre of Sacramento. Brochure is very clean and intact except for center horizontal and vertical fold lines, some wrinkling, and slight age toning. A Very Good copy. Program for a multi-act performance by Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo (also, Monte-Carlo), as directed by Sergei J. Denham (1876-1970), a Russian-American businessman. Denham's Ballet Russe was formed in the mid-1930s after the dissolution of Wassily de Basil's Ballets Russes. Some of the original members of De Basil's Ballets Russes formed the foundation of Denham's Ballet Russe. Denham directed the new Ballet Russe until his passing in 1970. The program lists the acts or different musical performances of the ballet, "Swan Lake," "The Mute Wife," "Pas de Deux Classique," and "Gaite Parisienne.". Ephemera. Book Condition: Very Good.
