Signature of Ichabod Bartlett in black ink on a beige piece of paper. Signed, "Ich. Bartlett." Appears to have been part of a larger document. No date, circa 1830s. 4 1/4" x 1 1/4." Paper tapers toward left edge. Signature is clean and intact overall. Paper is clean and intact overall but is fragile and has some age toning, slightly soiling, a few creases, and moderate wrinkling. A Good copy. Ichabod Bartlett (1786-1853) was an American lawyer and politician. Bartlett was born in Salisbury, New Hampshire and received an education in law. He moved to Portsmouth, New Hampshire in 1816 to practice law. From 1817-1818, Bartlett served as a clerk in the New Hampshire Senate. He later served in the New Hampshire House of Representatives from 18219-1821 and as its Speaker in 1821. Bartlett also served in the United States House of Representatives for New Hampshire from 1823-1829.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Collectible-Good. Binding: No Binding
