4to. xiv, 620pp, index, bibliography, appendices, illustrated with 9 full-page portraits, a full-page silhouette of Dr. Thomas Walker, a full-page photograph of the monument statue of George Rogers Clark at Quincy, Illinois, and 3 maps, including a folding map, green publisher's cloth with gilt spine titles, raised bands, green marbled edges, pastedowns, and endpapers, light general wear only, small gouge noted at upper spine, two insignificant spots noted at rear board, and a very small spot noted at front board, still a bright, clean copy overall, with bright gilt, and contents very clean and bright. Inscribed, signed, and dated by the author at front fly, June 16, 1928. The original issue, limited to 100 copies. This title would shortly be issued as volume I of a four-volume set, with the first two historical, and the second two biographical, and the notation "Volume I" at spine, which the present volume does not have as it was issued separately, before the set. Appendices include Historians and Kentucky History / Six Nation Deed for Traders / Sir William Johnson's Report on Six Nation Deeds / Early Kentucky Petition for Separation / George Rogers Clark to Patrick Henry in 1777.
