Farrell; "God's Little Acre" by Erskine Caldwell; and "Never Love a Stranger" by Harold Robbins. Publisher Alfred Knopf and his wife Blanche thought highly of Judge Bok's decision in the obscenity case and commissioned the Grabhorn Press to print 500 copies to distribute as a Christmas keepsake in 1949 "to give it this permanent and beautiful dress.".
