William Brewster (1851-1919) was an American ornithologist, conservationist, and naturalist. He co-founded the American Ornithologists' Union. This pamphlet contains Brewster's discussion on the red-legged black duck with an emphasis on the relationship between leg coloration, age of the duck, and seasonal changes.
