Circa 1940s. One of 250 copies. Print: 2 x 3 1/2 inch, impressed onto a paper rag sheet (6 x 4 1/2 inch) which is mounted into the original folder (8 1/2 x 11 inch). Includes separate inserted sheet with brief essay entitled "Man with a Drunk Horse" by Paul Gardner and the original envelope. The print was taken from a engraved plate made in 1806. Thomas Butts, junior was the son of William Blake's patron Thomas Butts and was trained by William Blake who he did not like. This plate was created four weeks after the son began his training.
