HARDBACK NODJ, 1918, Book only in FAIR- condition. AS-IS, NOJACKET, Some Small light stains on the margin edges of cover, the spine covering is torn and shredding & pulling away but Titles Readab;e, and the corners are damaged with small Tears. The book is splitting Slightly after the title page, pages are lightly TONED & Fox, one page is almost apart from the book, and several pages are torn with Clear Tape Repair. Red Cover light rub, wear & Titles in Black with Color Paste-On on Front of Boy, Girl & Gray Cat with 2 Balloons saying I just let them go for a Teeny Weeny Minute & Away They Went, 146 pages, 6 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches. Covers litttle Wobbly, Interior relatively Nice Tight light FOX .Illustrations, both B/W and Red, black and gray full page plates are wonderful. The author, the sister of writer Mary Roberts Rineheart, however, appears to have been well known in her day. This was one of her early works; after its publication, she was offered the job of writing a syndicated children's department for a large group of Newspapers, and I also found references to her columns and Articles with advice on child Rearing. .They visit the lands of Lost Balloons, Runaway Feathers, Soap Bubbles and good smells. The book is funny in places - the cat, given speech on the trips, grumbles about being forced to visit soap bubble land. It also has seriOus real life touches - there are references to World War I, with food shortages and the children's father at a military camp in the west. The author, the sister of writer Mary Roberts Rineheart, however, appears to have been well known in her day. This was one of her early works; after its publication, she was offered the job of writing a syndicated children's department for a large group of newspapers, and I also found references to her columns and articles with advice on child rearing..
