First Edition. A complete set of the excessively rare parts issue in 11 parts, in the original wrappers as issued. Part one has a small chip at the top of the pictorial wrapper; the margins have been repaired or are bruised. Parts 2-11 have plain pink printed wrappers and have been neatly and professionally recased into the wrappers where necessary. The back wrapper of the final part is very creased and has been repaired. The separate large map is lacking: the original prospectus for ordering the map is still present, unused (hence no map!), and the original pale green printed wrapper for casing the set when bound is also present, loosely tipped in and in fine state. The whole set is housed in a superb custom made 1/2 brown morocco clamshell box, marbled sides, by Julian Vyncke. THIS SET IS OF THE GREATEST RARITY. No complete set is recorded in the South African Bibliography: only one entry for parts 5, 7, 9, and 10 in the Library of Parliament Cape Town (SABib. 1/354).
