The front flap of one original glassine wrapper is detached and the others show signs of rubbing. All volumes are tightly bound, clean and unmarked - a really very nice set. The books are a documentary chronicle of the progress of the second world war in France and each volume contains many coloured reproductions of the propaganda posters and the resistance posters produced at the time. There are also many b&w phtpgraphs reproduced. Each volume also contains a wire-stabbed booklet showing a thumbnail of each illustration together with an extensive caption."
