Entire issue, Volume VI, No. 5, April, 1896, in original wraps, light general wear and soiling, faded damp-staining noted along fore edges of first 20 pages of text, rear wrap chipped just a bit at spine corners, else a tight, intact copy. Article is 20 pages, printed in double columns, illustrated with 16 photograph, including various examples of the new photographs that are reminiscent of x-rays, a portrait of Rontgen, and a drawing featuring Thomas Edison in his lab experimenting with Rontgen rays. Important in that it was the present method of photography, discovered by Rontgen in November, 1895, that was the beginning of the modern x-ray, a term coined by Rontgen himself. The achievement earned Professor Rontgen the first Nobel Prize in Physics, awarded in 1901. Housed in archival bag with stiff backing. Very scarce.. Magazine. Book Condition: Good.
