Pub. slip at p1 bound-in explaining the meaning of the title 'Our Mutual Friend' an be found at p84. Lacking the adverts at the rear. First edition in book form, first issue with 'pricipal' for 'principal' (Vol II, p. 115, 14 lines up). Stab holes from the parts present. Fine gilt decorated spine with morocco black and red labels with attractive tooled decoration. Near fine but some shlf rubbing to the marbled papers. A little foxing to the free-endpapers but a clean text block.Each volume has the ovel bookplate of 'Charles Frederick Tootal Bibliotheca' to the inside front boards. S.
