Pages are very clean and intact overall except for age toning, slightly bumped corners, and a slightly rusted staple. A Very Good copy. A report by the District Coast Guard Office of St. Louis, Missouri that lists various activities of the United States Navy, Ninth District during World War II. Most of the numerous activities relate back to the St. Louis Ninth District. Statistics such as the number of ships, vessel miles, and personnel are included throughout the document. Various naval activities are described in locations such as St. Louis; Kansas City, Missouri; Chicago; Buffalo, New York; New Orleans; and Memphis. Different routes of transit are named such as the Missouri River, Ohio River, and Illinois River. Naval and Coast Guard terminology is used throughout including LST, (Landing Ship, Tank), LCT (Landing Craft Tank), and DCGOs (District Coast Guard Officer). American activities in Europe during WWII are also briefly named, such as Operation Neptune, which is more famously known as D-Day. The report also describes the construction of steel ships for Russian allies, who would use these ships as ice breakers.
