C., engraver who purchased the ship "Galinda" to take goods and passengers to San Francisco in 1849. He returned via Panama in 1850. This volume is a collection of his log, letters and pencil sketches from his travels. It includes 3 pencil sketches from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; 10 from California, including a panoramic view of San Francisco, 5 from Acapulco, Mexico, and two from the Chagres River in Panama..
