Binder has a locking mechanism; original tipped-in instructions on front pastedown show how to lock and unlock the binder. Instructions state that if the binder becomes jammed, the key may have to be used on the fore-edge of the back cover (key not included). 1918-1927. 10 1/4" x 12 1/4." Circa 275 pages. Pages are very clean and intact overall except for age toning and the small occasional mark. Covers are clean and intact overall but have darkening, slight soiling, a few small chips and tears to leather portions, light to moderate rubbing, and shallow surface scratches. Binding is tight. The Farmers Mercantile Co. was a general store that had different departments such as the Hardware Department, Housewares Department, Implement Department, Grocery Department, and Garage and Machine Shop. The company was incorporated on February 4, 1905 and enjoyed many decades of being in business until it was dissolved December 7, 1993. This accounting journal shows the financial health and diverse range of operations of the Farmers Mercantile Company. Accounting journal entries show information and data such as cash balances, stockholders, salary accounts, profits and losses, and bonds and investments. Financial transactions are shown for the company's departments and items including the Machine Shop, small buildings, fixtures, groceries, general merchandise, implements, and tractors, among others.
