Original music program printed in black ink on off-white paper. 6" x 4 3/4." Four pages (one leaf folded in half and printed on all sides), complete. One black-and-white illustrated advertisement for Sherman, Clay & Co. printed on back panel. Program is very clean and intact except for a vertical fold line at center, age toning, slight wrinkling, and a few pencil inscriptions and a former owner's stamp ("S. A. Wright, Jr.") on front. A Very Good copy. An original program featuring a child prodigy who plays the piano, Paloma Schramm (1887-1957). The concert took place on May 4, 1898 at the Unitarian Church in Oakland, California. The concert program is printed on the interior panels which includes songs by noted composers as well as originals by Schramm. The songs composed by Schramm are "Gigue," "Pastorale," "Nocturne, op. 13," "Mazurka, op. 14," "Poeme d'Amour, op. 21," and "Valse Caprice, op. 18." The songs composed by others are Scarlatti-Tausig's "Pastorale," Chopin's "Valse, op. 64, No. 1," Schubert-Liszt's "Serenade," Grieg's "Butterfly, op. 43," Schumann's "Warum?," Liszt's "Lieberstraum, No. 3," Leschetizky's "Les deux Alouettes," Rubinstein's "Romance, op. 44" and Paderewski's "Minuet." The following credits are printed in the lower-left corner on front: "Exclusive Management, Fitzgerald Music Co.; J. T. Fitzgerald, Los Angeles, Cal.; Concert Direction, William A. Fine.". Ephemera.
