Limited edition. One of 125 copies. Original publisher's white envelope and pamphlet with blue wrapper with sewn binding. Envelope measures 8 7/8" x 6." Pamphlet measures 8" x 5 5/8." Nine pages, complete. Envelope features special typefaces and decorative motifs printed in black ink. Reprint of Benjamin Franklin's signature on front cover of pamphlet. Pamphlet has deckle edges. Envelope has very minimal wear. Pamphlet is pristine with no wear. A fine copy. This poem is ascribed to Benjamin Franklin and likens different kinds of paper to certain types of people. From back of the pamphlet: "Paper: A Poem by Dr. Franklin was printed in the August 1794 issue of the Massachusetts Magazine (p. 501), without any question of authorship." Colophon in the back: "Poem composed in Caslon types (which Franklin used) and printed on all-rag (Brooks Bros, shirts, no less) hand-made paper. Making the paper, type composition, presswork, and binding occupied Zamoranians John Urabec and Richard Hoffman during Spring and Summer of 1972 at California State University, Los Angeles.
