Also, two brief sections on "Syrups and Bitters" and "Correct Bar Procedure." Excerpt from the Preface: "The purpose of this book is not to awe the reader with the stiff traditions ordinarily associated with the formal use of fine wines and rare liqueurs. Rather, it is intended as an authoritative reference guide, which in simple, uncomplicated form, may bring to you new and interesting facts concerning the origin, use and classification of the world's choicest vintages and spirits. ... On the following pages you will find 1,000 recipes for cocktails and other varieties of mixed drinks. There are 45 recipes for wines with food and 75 more recipes arranged for Canape and Cocktail Snack occasions. Fifty pages have been devoted to the use-service-storing-purchasing and growing of wines. ... This Book represents the work of many months and the services of more than 80 experts who assisted both here and abroad in its compilation.". Book. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover
