Known for her pleasant stories about animals and nature, Gask's book here is finely, wonderfully illustrated by Patten Wilson (who had by this time moved his drawing passion to animals, nature and mythology - all three encompassed in this book!). The cover is sturdy and strong. It has wear and some marking. The decoration and main illustration are undamaged and unmarked. The spine is muscular and resolute. The pages are firm and clear. They are, however, foxed throughout. The frontis and end pages are tanned; the frontispage has a gift inscription (not from the author).
