Publisher's original dark blue cloth bds with both front+rear,top corners with some minimal rubbing and reciprocal loss - all other edges and corners much less affected and corners sharp.Bright,crisp,non-oxidised,stamped gilt letters to spine/ backstrip,top edges coloured maroon,fore- edges slightly aged/tanned with minimal, faint and sporadic foxing/spotting.Both pastedowns and free endpapers lightly discoloured/toned with some minimal, sporadic foxing/spotting.Residual evidence of cup-ring to top bd with a couple of other dulled marks,rear boards with some minimal,random,white flecks/flecking. Contents bright,tight,clean,solid and sound,no spine roll - near pristine - no foxing/spotting,and no dog-ear reading creases to any pages corners - appears unread - apart from my own collation.An accidental,but uniform crease,to lower corners of pp123-26 inclusive.UK,8vo HB, minus issued dw/dj,1st edn,9-350pp includes Books 1-2 comprising 14 chapters each,plus [unpaginated] half-title+title pages, author's thanks/acknowledgements, individual Books' separator pages,and 2pp blank at rear.
