Tipped is a 2pp. ALS, dated 20 May 1931, presenting the book, and discussing a forthcoming exhibition at the Pretoria Show containing a number of variants of Kolbe's Travels, including a copy from the Six Library. Gubbins, a noted collector and benefactor, endowed the famous Africana Collection that bears his name, at the University of the Witwatersrand.
