Original publisher's multicolored wrapper with an illustration by John Edwin Jackson of a woman wearing traditional Romanian clothing. 10 1/2" x 13 1/4." Twenty-six pages, complete. Many black and white illustrations and advertisements throughout magazine, complete. Inside of front cover has a black and white advertisement for Listerine that shows a fictional short story, presented in photographic stills, of a woman's hardships stemming from halitosis. On inside of back cover is a black and white ad for various dining room linen sewing models. On the back cover is a multicolored ad for Luckies cigarettes that shows a woman in an elegant evening gown descending a staircase while holding a cigarette. Page 11 features two comic-strip-style ads for Rinso soap and Lifebuoy Health Soap titled "Keep Cool on Washday--Here's How!" and "A Tip from Two Total Strangers," respectively. Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Only a slight tear on the fore-edge of the back cover. Address stamp in upper-left margin of front cover. A monthly magazine featuring sewing projects and ideas, the latest trends of the time, and home and life advice.
