Black-and-white illustrations, complete. Advertisements are interspersed throughout. Pages and covers are clean and intact overall. Pages are fragile and age-toned. Some chipping at the edges and spine. Tape repair on covers and spine (one piece of tape at the bottom). Top and bottom edges of the cover appear to be cut but this may be original. A Very Good Copy. Famous Fantastic Mysteries was a science fiction and fantasy pulp magazine edited by Mary Gnaedinger. The first issue appeared in 1939. Its popularity quickly led to the publication of a companion magazine, Fantastic Novels. The last issue of Famous Fantastic Mysteries was published in 1953. The December 1943 issue. The following are in this issue: a full book-length novel, "Three Go Back," by J. Leslie Mitchell; three short stories, "The Derelict," by William Hope Hodgson, "The Mask," by Robert W.
