Jean-Antoine Nollet was a French clergyman and physicist. He was particularly interested in the new science of electricity, which he explored with the help of Du Fay and Réamur. He joined the Royal Society of London in 1734 and later became the first professor of experimental physics at the University of Paris., Gascoigne 5836
