Jennings, George : An Anecdotal History of The British Parliament from the Earliest Periods with Notices of Eminent Parliamentary Men, and Examples of their Oratory

Horace Cox, 1899

Considering the fact that this book is over a hundred years old, it is in lovely condition. The boards are rubbed and edge worn, and the gold gilt on the spine is rubbed off for the most part. Despite this, the boards are strong and square. Internally, the front end, back end and half title pages are very tanned. This does not extend into the other pages, which remain clean, crisp and whole. The front end page is a touch loose near the top of the binding, and there is a stamp marking on it as well. There is a previous retailer's book plate on the front pastedown and another stamp marking and signature on the half title page. There are no other markings or inscriptions, and the binding is lovely and tight. JV.Nor. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: No Jacket
