A good, bright copy, very crisp internally. Former owner name and date inked to the head of the first leaf. An introduction ("warning") by the translator is followed by four stories. This edition precedes but should not be confused with the celebrated English translation of the same name which was issued nine years later, containing as is does just three of the stories and none of the essays or parables found in that text (albeit a fourth story here, 'La Quête dAverroës' / 'The Quest for Averroës' did not appear in the English edition)..
