Prepared and published during wartime the only 'noticeable' economy is in the information curtailed by circumstance. This is, therefore, of interest to the peace-time reader. In general good condition. The board cover is strong, determined and largely clear. Marking from handling is mild. The spine is faded but the gilt print is still bright. The corners and head and foot of the spine have shallow shelf-wear. The is a slight paper trimming imperfection resulting in a short overhang at the bottom corner at pages 113 - 120. The paper trims have shelf marking. Inside, the guttering along the front and back covers have been reinforced. The inside of the front cover has had previous owner inscription 'reducted'.
