On offer is a super, original manuscript relic of one man's service during World War II as a mechanic and pipefitter at the Puget Sound Navy Yard at Bremerton, Washington, and who worked on several famous ships including; the U.S.S. Saratoga, U.S.S. Nevada, U.S.S. Idaho, U.S.S. Ward, U.S.S. Enterprise, and several P.T. boats. Handwritten by K. L. Klopfer 26 pages of entries cover the period of March 17, 1942 through to November 1, 1943. Klopfer writes many fascinating entries about the damage sustained by several of these vessels, work duties and all other daily doings in the Navy Yard.
