This slender wrappered pamphlet, containing work by Kitasono, Murano Shiro (1901-75) and Osada Tsuneo (1902-77), was published within months of the end of WWII, when Tokyo still lay in ruins. It is a remarkable testament to the durability of the Japanese artistic spirit. There is not space here to even begin to describe Kitasono's importance to world art and literature.
