Original black and white publicity photograph of Count Felix von Luckner. Circa 1930's. 8 X 10 inches. von Luckner (1881-1966) was a German nobleman, sailor, naval officer and author. It was Luckner's habit to successfully wager war without casualties. He served in the German Navy during World War I and made a world tour (1937-1939) in his yacht "The Sea Devil". He also wrote a several books on his adventures. In this photograph, Luckner is wearing a dark suit sitting in a chair. His wife Ingeborg is beside him wearing a dress, fir coat and pearls.
