Joints are still strong and holding. A couple small chips to back endpaper. A Very Good copy. An autobiographical account by Reverend C. I. Latrobe during his 1815-1816 voyage to South Africa to visit Moravian missions. C. I. Latrobe (1758-1836) was an English clergyman of the Moravian Church who promoted mission work. At this time, the Moravian Church was referred to as Unitas Fratum, or, the United Brethren. The Moravian Church is one of the oldest Protestant denominations dating back to the Bohemian Reformation in the fifteenth century. Latrobe's account is organized by date.
