His career was cut short by crippling and very painful injuries. This coincided with the final isolation of apartheid South Africa in the sporting arena. He was part of the 1969/70 tour that was subject to intense and sometimes violent demonstrations. This biography is sure and sound. The dustjacket is genial with much wear and some tear. The faces are scuffed and marked. The dj is intact and secure. The board covers are much worn from storage. The spine is smart and tight. The papertrims are foxed. Inside, the contents are mild and contented, aside for some handling marks to the frontispages. The pages are clean, clear, certain, diligent, matey, companionable and engaging. fk.
