The boards are rather rubbed and edge worn, with some wear and fraying concentrated near the top and bottom edges of the spine and the corners. The gold gilt remains bright and charming. Internally, the front end page is rather marked and has a faint red pencil marking on it. The back pastedown is foxed, but this does not extend into the pages of the book. There are no other markings, although the corners of some of the pages have some slight crease markings. Despite this, they remain bright and complete. The binding remains strong and tight. JV.
