Original greeting card printed in multicolored ink on white paper. Doubles as a postcard. Card is unused. No date, circa 1890s-1920s. 3 1/2" x 5 1/2." Card is very clean and intact except for an erased pencil inscription on back, age toning, and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. An original greeting card for the occasion of Christmas and the New Year. The card features a slightly embossed color illustration of a young boy seated on a chair, who holds an apple in his right hand and another object in the other, and printed text on front. The printed text is a poem by "M. C. G." and reads in full, "I see you gathered in your home, / You friends I hold so dear, / And I wish you Merry Christmas / And a happy glad New Year. / But I pause upon the threshold / Of your gayety and fun / To murmur low with Tiny Tim / 'God bless you, every one!'" There are spaces on back for writing correspondence and the recipient's address. Stamp box also printed on back.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Very Good.
