They have clear plastic protective covers. The page trims have very light wear. Within, the contents are aging gently with some foxing. The coloured plates are fresh and bright. The protective sheets are neat. Volume III Sympetalae - Section I: Ericaceae-Verbenaceae, Families 107-125. Published 1932. First volume with the subtitle, "with a Synopsis of the South African Genera of Phanerogamous Plants". A sound copy. The boards have a clear plastic protective cover. They have some very light wear. Within, the contents have evidence of contented use. The pages are thick, clear, comfortable, healthy, blushed with foxing. The coloured plates are pleasurable and fresh.
