First English Edition. The boards are shelf rubbed and edge worn, and the spine has discoloured with age. The corners are a touch knocked inwards, but aside from this, the boards remain strong and square. Internally, there is a previous owner's inscription in ink on the front end page, and the illustrations throughout have been coloured in, presumably by the child to which the book belonged. This adds an innocent charm to the book. There are no other markings or inscriptions, although the pages are lightly foxed throughout. Tightly bound and charming. JK. Book Condition: Very Good.
