MEREDITH, William. [INSCRIBED OFFPRINT OF FIVE POEMS, WITH CORRECTIONS BY THE POET]. Six pages, from an unidentified publication, with an ink inscription on the top page: "For Kay & Ted, Fondly Bill," and ink corrections in the first two poems. The recipients, Kathleen and Theodore Morrison, were friends of Meredith and were well know in literary circles. Theodore Morrison, also an author, taught at Harvard and was director of the Breadloaf Writers' Conference; his wife, Kathleen, was Robert Frost's secretary. The poems included are "The Wreck of the Thresher," "For Kathleen, Gone on a Brief Journey, "Twilight" translated from Guillaume Apollinaire, "The Ballet," and "The Couple Overhead." The sheets are stapled down one side and creased twice for folding; they are lightly toned and show slight wear along two edges.
