Original black-and-white publicity photograph of Sarita (also, Sara) Montiel. She is shown up-close and wearing an elegant dress, necklace, ring, and earrings as she looks directly at viewers. No date, circa 1950s. 8 1/4" x 10." "ROA-SM-15" printed in the lower-right corner on front, an abbreviation of "Run of the Arrow" and the actress's initials. Purple stamp with copyright information for RKO Radio Pictures on back. Typed biography also glued to the back. Photo is very clean and intact except for a few wrinkles and corner and edge wear. A Very Good copy. Sarita Montiel (1928-2013) was a Spanish actress and singer. She starred in many Spanish films and also worked in other countries including Mexico, Brazil, Cuba, and the United States. The typed biography reads, "ROA-Sarita Montiel, glamorous screen actress from Spain who first gained prominence in American films with her performances in 'Vera Cruz' and 'Serenade.' Appears as a Sioux Indian girl in Samuel Fuller's 'Run of the Arrow,' RKO Technicolor picture in which she stars with Rod Steiger, Brian Keith and Ralph Meeker."
