These journals are in the original Dutch and have been translated by Mossop into English. They form Volume 12 of the first series from the Van Riebeeck Society. This volume includes fold out maps and charts which are in near fine condition. This copy is a withdrawn library book with consequent labels, markings and wear. The cloth cover is much marked by handling and shelving. The wear is to the corners and the head and foot of the spine. The back cover has been slightly bent downwards by storage. It has also has a depression to the top edge. The paper trim edge has storage damage from pg 189 - 214. The front pages have general foxing.
