Nicolas's French translation (the first) from the Persian. The cover is dignified and handsome despite wear to the corners and edges. The bottom edges have some damp staining (this has not transferred to the pages). The spine is much worn about the seams and is sunned and marked from handling. It is tight, healthy. The front decoration and printing are genial. Handmade paper. English translation on the opp page, French on the facing. The frontis and end pages have areas of tanning.
