Stereograph on tan board (7 x 3 1/2 inch) with title across the bottom. Images of the leveled town of St. Pierre buried in ash with survivors looking for remaining goods. On 8 May 1902 Mount Pelee erupted, causing a pyroclastic flow which killed all but three survivors in the town of St. Pierre. It is regarded as the worst volcanic explosion during the 20th century. Some soiling to the front side of the stereograph.. Book. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
