Original broadside printed on white paper in purple ink, 5 1/2" x 22." Blank on back. Broadside is very clean and intact overall. Broadside has light wrinkling throughout, multiple horizontal fold lines, and a few splits along the fold lines on the edges. A Very Good copy. Arthur Fiedler (1894-1979) was an American conductor who was closely associated with the Boston Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and its offshoot, the Boston Pops Orchestra. Fiedler's musical ability and showmanship were instrumental in making the Boston Pops one of the best-known orchestras in the United States. This broadside announces a concert series featuring the Boston Pops Orchestra with Arthur Fiedler as conductor. The listed programs are part of the 69th concert season at Symphony Hall and span multiple days from June 14, 1954 to June 19, 1954. Songs are listed for June 15, 18, and 19. June 14 is "Harvard Class of '29 Night." June 15 has no special designation, but songs by Schubert, Rossini, Debussy, Anderson, Wieniawski, Dukas, Porter, and Hayman are listed. June 16 is the "American Institute of Architects' Night." June17 is "Israel Histadrut Night." June 18 is "Old Timers' Night." June 19 appears to celebrate the Silver Anniversary of Fiedler's career as conductor of the Boston Pops. Harry Ellis Dickson is named as the conductor for June 18.. Ephemera.
