Original black-and-white engraving of St. Paul's Church in Covent Garden, London. Removed from Edward Brayley's Londiniana, a compendium about the history and sights of London. No date, circa 1828-1829. 3 1/2" x 6 1/4." Print is very clean and intact except for slight age toning and a few spots of foxing. A Near Fine copy. A beautiful, small engraving featuring St. Paul's Church, as viewed from the front, and surrounding streets and buildings in the year 1776. St. Paul's Church is affiliated with the Church of England. It was designed by Inigo Jones as part of project commissioned by Francis Russell, 4th Earl of Bedford. Construction for the church began in 1631, and it was completed in 1633. The print is from an edition of Brayley's Londiniana published by Thomas Hurst, Edward Chance & Company.. Print. Book Condition: Collectible-Near Fine (Near Fine). Binding: No Binding
