Original Print - "B. Sebastianus Valfre"

Text in French. Original black-and-white print showing a portrait of "Blessed Sebastian Valfre" at the Turin Oratory. Valfre is shown with his head in a slight tilt as he smiles and has his arms in a crossed position. In one of his hands are rosary beads. This print may have been removed from a publication. No date, circa 1830s. Print with margins: 9 1/2" x 12 1/2." Printed area: 5 1/4" x 6 3/4." Print is very clean and intact except for light age toning and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. Sebastian Valfre (1629-1710) was a French Catholic priest. He was also called the "Apostle of Turin" for his longtime service to the community of Turin. He was also a member of the Oratory of Saint Philip Neri. Valfre became well-known for caring for the sick and the poor.. Print. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
