Original publisher's white paper wrappers with staple binding. 7" x 9 3/4." Eight pages, complete. "1957-58" written in pink ink on back. Brochure is very clean and intact overall except for center horizontal and vertical fold lines and slight wrinkling and age toning. A Very Good copy. Program for the inaugural performance of the San Francisco String Ensemble, as headed by Frank de Bellis. Introductions by San Francisco's mayor, George Christopher, and De Bellis are printed in front. Printed on back: "With the exception of the Sammartini Concerto in D Minor, all compositions are being executed publicly for the first time in San Francisco and possibly in the United States. The music itself has been made available from the Frank De Bellis collection of manuscripts, first editions and modern scores." Frank de Bellis (1898-1968) was an Italian-American businessman who worked on a number of educational and philanthropic projects.
