Original signed program featuring a performance by Merle Alcock and Toscha Seidel at Memorial Hall in Columbus, Ohio Friday evening on January 12th. No date, circa 1923. 5 7/8" x 9." Four pages, complete. Merle Alcock's signature in pencil on the front cover. Very clean copy with only slight rippling and a little bit of foxing on front edge. Edgar Nelson is listed as the accompanist for Merle Alcock. Francesco Longer is listed as the accompanist for Toscha Seidel. Dates are printed on front cover, "1882" and "1923." The program lists the songs performed, announcements by The Women's Club, and an advertisement on the back. Merle Alcock (1884 or 1890-1975) was an American contralto singer who performed with orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony, and Philadelphia Symphony. In 1915, Alcock appeared with the New York Symphony Orchestra where she became known as a contralto. Toscha Seidel (1899-1962) was a Russian virtuoso violinist who was a student of Leopold Auer in St. Petersburg.. Brochure. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
