Sharp-cornered and generally clean,green background paper-covered bds with colour pictorial lozenge-shaped vignetted front and b/w outline lozenge-shaped vignetted rear bds,and black+green lettering; with negligible shelf-wear to edges and corners and miniscule rubbing to head+foot of spine/backstrip,and to corners too and bright,clean,b/w outline line illustrated eps.Top+fore-edges minimally aged and clean; contents bright,tight and near pristine - no spotting/foxing,no dog-ear creases to any pages' corners and no b/w outline paintings attempted,though the staples are rusted.Pp8-pp20 are lightly affected with a partial,vertical crease towards spine/backstrips' edge - probably a production fault - see also rja406912, for similar fault in similar location/ signature.UK,slim 8vo HB,no dw/dj - as issued(?),1st edn,32pp [unpaginated] comprising colour pictorial title page with repeated design in b/w outline to fep,16 colour illustrations with repeated design in b/w outline for colouring-in opposite,and text/storyline beneath each of the pictures - includes endpaper opposite the title page and the last colour illus opposite the rear endpaper. Right in the middle/centre of the book, there are facing,different b/w outline illus/plates (of Jemima) but without their corresponding colour illus/plates.A production fault - as though the staples are rusty,they are not opened nor damaged - the pages were simply never included. A highly collected and prolific children's book author/illustrator,and an unusual item/ephemera in 's POTTER's bold style and will be an important and welcome addition to the POTTER canon. A really superb,bright example,a perennial favourite and highly collectable item,particularly in as good a grade as this.With NONE of the available outlines/ illustrations coloured in,a very,very uncommon state and grade as this.
